We are seeking a **Structural Engineer (S.E.)** to design safe,
efficient, and cost effective **metal building sytems** for commercial,
industrial and institutional projects. You\'ll be hands-on with the full
builing - from the base plate up - and enjoy seeing your designs come to
life on-site.

**What You\'ll Do:**
Design complete **pre-engineered metal buildings**, including structural
steel, panels, bracing, and secondary members
Use proprietary software and industry standards (AISC, ASCE7, IBC, etc.)
to analyze frames, cranes, mezzanines, and more
Collaborate with Detailing and Manufacturing to ensure seamless project
execution
Review and stamp final structural drawings
Participate in safety initiatives and support continuous improvement in
engineering processes
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore,
candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead,
and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping
standards at all times.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
Bachelor\'s in Civil or Architectural Engineering from an
ABET-accredited university
Licensed Structural Engineer (S.E.) in the U.S. (or eligible for
Illinois licensure)
Proficiency with structural codes: AISC 360/341/358, ASCE7, IBC, AISI
**Preferred Qualifications:**
Experience with pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMB)
Familiarity with building design software (e.g., MBS, SAP2000, STAAD,
etc.)
