Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Sr. Transportation Highway / Roadway Engineer to be based in New England with the primary focus being MA, CT, and RI.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serves as lead engineer on mid- to large size projects.
  • Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
  • Approves and signs off on work.
  • Provides technical expertise for studies and design efforts.
  • Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.
  • Presents complex technical solutions to clients.
  • Performs quality control reviews of work developed by others.
  • Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
  • Participates in development of technical proposals.
  • Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements on large projects.
  • Develops construction cost estimates.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Professional Engineer license and ability to obtain reciprocity for the New England states within twelve months if not currently registered in the required states.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise in developing design packages for highway and/or roadway improvement projects in New England (must include some MassDOT, CTDOT, and/or RIDOT project experience).
  • Experience preparing technical specifications.
  • Minimum of ten years of technical experience which reflect a progressively increasing level of leadership and responsibility.
  • Proficient in the use of and ability to lead others in the use of Microstation, InRoads, AutoCad and Civil 3D.
  • Desire to develop Marketing skills.
  • Able to assist in proposals and presentations.
  • Participate in professional organizations representing the company.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
