Position Details
Thrasher is a full-service architecture, engineering, and field services consulting firm with a rich resume of project success all throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Our team of skilled experts delivers a vast array of professional services to clients across five major markets: architecture, land development, water resources, transportation, and energy.
We are seeking a Project Coordinator in our Land Development division, located out of our Bridgeport office. The Project Coordinator's central duty is to work with the project team and ensure positive progress of WVDEP AML projects from planning to completion. The Project Coordinator role is comparable to an Assistant Project Manager role within the organization.
In this role, you will be asked to:
Assist in the planning, design, and oversight of multiple WVDEP AML projects.
Assist in preparing reports and specifications.
Assist with permitting and environmental assessments. This will include communicating and coordinating with federal and/or state agencies for permit application approval.
Assist with developing potential projects through preparation of supporting documentation and planning.
Monitor projects deadlines and benchmarks and support presentation of bi-monthly progress reports covering action items and progress updates.
Assist with realty aspects of WVDEP AML projects.
Assist with project closeout activities. Verify all required documents and as-builts have been submitted to WVDEP.
Qualifications:
Ability to pay attention to details of assigned projects and tasks.
Possess the trait of being organized or following a systematic method of performing a task.
Position requires ability to resolve problems independently.
Proficiency with iOS, Microsoft Excel, and Word is required.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients, property owners, agencies, design team, and management.
Education & Experience
Education: Bachelor's degree preferred, in a related field.
Experience: 3 to 5 years' experience and direct business experience related to design and construction, other applicable experience may be considered.
Other Requirements:
Travel to projects sites will be required throughout West Virginia. Applicants must possess a valid driver's license and clean driver history.
Pass pre-employment drug screening.
Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints, drawings, diagrams, and specifications. Basic knowledge of WVDEP AML design concepts and terminology.
Excellent communication, organizational, and multi-tasking skills, with ability to work under minimal supervision. Communication includes meeting and discussing project with property owners.
Candidates must be located within a commutable distance to our Bridgeport, WV office.
