Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day leadership to the operations team, superintendents, yard crews, and warehouse personnel.
- Collaborate with branch leadership, sales, project management, and administrative departments to support successful project execution.
- Participate in long-term planning, volume forecasting, and team development to support Hawaiis expanding market.
- Lead operational improvements, identify bottlenecks, and implement best practices for continuous improvement.
- Maintain and enforce all BrandSafway safety standards across yard, field, and warehouse operations.
- Promote a zero-accident culture and ensure proper PPE usage and safety certifications for all staff.
- Lead local safety initiatives, respond to audits or inspections, and maintain MSR records.
- Conduct jobsite support and field check-ins to reinforce a strong safety-first environment.
- Manage demand planning, procurement, and inventory transfers across Oahu, Maui, and outer island operations.
- Lead regular cycle counts, annual physical inventories, and monitor inventory KPIs.
- Coordinate proper storage, movement, and handling of scaffold, shoring, and insulation materials.
- Oversee cutback/scrap reporting and ensure accurate entry in ERP systems.
- Ensure rental fleet vehicles and equipment are properly maintained, inspected, and compliant with safety alerts or recalls.
- Oversee maintenance staff and track turnaround time for repairs.
- Maintain local inventory of spare parts and supplies to support uptime and field responsiveness.
- Manage local property operations, including yard upkeep, building maintenance, alarms, landscaping, and vendor coordination.
- Ensure the facility is inspection-ready for fire department, city, and state requirements.
- Participate in branch budgeting, monthly reviews, and cost forecasting for operations, fleet, and property.
- Manage operational purchase orders, approve expenses, and oversee re-rent tracking.
- Support Accounts Payable and Receivables processes alongside the administrative team.
- Serve as a problem-solver and point of contact for field crew concerns, equipment needs, and logistical issues.
- Coordinate with customers as needed to ensure on-time delivery, jobsite readiness, and service satisfaction.
- Support project mobilization efforts and provide insight on equipment availability and job feasibility.
Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Business Management (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office products (especially Excel).
- Ability to present a clean, professional image while representing BrandSafway values and the Hawaii branch.
- Proven ability to handle shifting priorities in high-pressure environments.
- Quick learner with excellent multitasking and time management skills.
- Familiarity with quality control, lean operations, and continuous improvement processes.
- Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbally.
- Experience supervising operations teams and coordinating cross-departmental activities.
- Familiarity with ERP and warehouse/inventory management software (e.g., Oracle, Pro Field) is a plus.
- Must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly. Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, and hands-on work in yard/warehouse conditions. Regular exposure to outdoor weather, dust, and moderate-to-loud noise environments. Reasonable accommodations will be made for individuals with disabilities.
BrandSafway offers a competitive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance along with a generous 401k plan. The salary range for this position is $83,200.00 annually. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position.
