Heavy Construction - Assistant Project Manager/Estimator

Busy concrete and asphalt paving company seeking assistant project manager/estimator. Job locations are based throughout the five boroughs.

Job Description:

-Review plans and specifications
-Coordinate and manage projects from start to finish
-Scheduling and cost tracking
-Quantity takeoffs and tracking
-Review plans for new projects and assemble labor, equipment and material costs
-Work under Professional Engineer. Work will count toward professional engineering licensure.

Qualifications:

-Civil engineering or construction management degree (required)
-Experience in the asphalt and/or concrete industry (Preferred) (Required if no degree)
-Proficiency in computers (required), Microsoft programs (required), Bluebeam (preferred), bidding software (preferred), AutoCAD (preferred)
-Self-motivated (required)
-Willing to learn (required)
-Valid driver's license (required)
-Bi-lingual (preferred)
