Expected pay for this position is $31.19 - $36.69/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Electrician II installs, tests, repairs, replaces and maintains specialized electrical systems, signal, communications and electrical circuits, equipment and appliances. Oversees work order assignments for electrical team and outside contractors. Trains new staff to department. Observes functioning of installed equipment to detect electrical hazards and need for adjustment, relocation or replacement.
QualificationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: High School/GED
- Experience: 5 years of experience as an electrician in a commercial setting in order to understand electrical repair procedures as well as electrical sections of applicable public building and safety codes.
- Knowledge with building automation systems and programming.
- May be required to successfully pass proficiency tests as specifically required by State or local authorities.
Other skills/knowledge:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- License/Certifications: Completion of an electrical apprenticeship
- Certifications in electronics and/or control wiring installation, repair, and diagnostics are preferred. May be required to obtain and maintain an Electrician license or other certifications as specifically required by State or local authorities.
