About this Role:
InfraSource is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team. The Senior Project Manager is a management role responsible for directing and supporting a team of Project Managers, Project Engineers and Project Coordinators overseeing multiple construction projects. Responsible for overseeing the project schedule, project budget, change orders, cost tracking, forecasting, and invoicing processes. This position is the primary link between the Directors and Vice President.
What You'll Do:
- Directs all phases of projects from inception to completion and develops required project reports and management status meetings.
- Leads the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract.
- Understand and administer contract terms and conditions, contract documents, subcontractor agreements, purchase order agreements, etc.
- Reporting of field deliverables according to customer specifications and contract requirements
- Acts as primary customer contact for project activities, leading project review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance
- Participates with the estimating team through design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for development, design and construction.
- Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules; identifies project problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.
- Works collaboratively with functional groups from technical and administrative areas
- Managing all project data in logic-driven, resource and cost loaded schedule, for each project through all phases of planning through construction
- Attend required project meetings on a regular basis
- Works closely with the project managers to plan, schedule, control and communicate project impacts, budget changes, scope changes, change control, risk, and project status reports
- Work cohesively with Director, Construction Management on all aspects of: Progress, crew utilization, impact analysis, critical path analysis and project forecast
- Working with project team to develop, baseline, and analyze project schedule, budget, and progress
- Negotiate favorable subcontractor and vendor deliverables.
- Cultivate and maintaining an excellent working relationship with all internal and external stakeholders, including customers
- Work with internal support groups (Finance & Accounting, Billing) to set up projects in the accounting system
- Assisting in the implementation and/or development of project controls technology
- Ability to mentor and coach project managers, project engineers and project coordinators
- Additional duties as needed or assigned.
What You'll Bring:
- 8-10 years' pipeline / electrical distribution industry experience required
- Desired: Project Management Certificate from an accredited school or Project Management Institute
- Demonstrated knowledge of applicable project management processes and control systems, including the earned value management system.
- Demonstrated knowledge of PMBOK Project Life Cycle and Knowledge Areas
- Ability to logically and systematically evaluate project and process problems to determine appropriate solutions
- Demonstrated ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and allocate resources and resolve programmatic conflicts. Full knowledge of analytical problem-solving techniques
