Position Summary: The Materials Manager / Project Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the procurement, coordination, and delivery of materials for active projects while supporting overall project execution from planning through completion. This role requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual capable of managing multiple priorities, ensuring effective communication among internal teams, customers, and suppliers, and maintaining accurate records throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate material purchasing, tracking, and logistics to ensure timely availability for project needs. Manage supplier communications, purchase orders, and delivery schedules. Work cross-functionally with project managers, engineers, and operations teams to ensure alignment of material requirements with project timelines. Maintain accurate documentation of material transactions, inventory levels, and order histories. Support project planning efforts by identifying resource needs and potential supply chain risks. Monitor budgets and material costs, helping to ensure projects stay on financial track. Assist in resolving material-related issues or delays that may impact project schedules. Prepare and maintain reports, spreadsheets, and other project documentation. Required Skills and Qualifications: Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain organized records. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with team members and stakeholders, including customers and suppliers. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues that may arise during the project lifecycle. Technical Skills: High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant tools such as ERP systems, project management software, or inventory tracking tools. Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment. Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all project-related tasks is a MUST . Preferred Qualifications: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Project Management, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in materials management, logistics, or project coordination roles. Experience in a manufacturing, construction, or technical services environment is a plus. Familiarity with lean practices and inventory control techniques.
