Mechanical Engineer III

Position Details:

+ This position will be Hybrid

+ Salary: $100,000 - $146,000 DOE

Primary Function:

The Mechanical Engineer III is responsible for leading the design and integration of moderately complex systems or assemblies. This role sets technical direction within project scope, interfaces directly with customers, and contributes to planning and system architecture decisions.

Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities:

+ Design and refine multiple subsystems with a strong understanding of system-level impacts.

+ Perform and review advanced mechanical analyses.

+ Set direction for technical deliverables with minimal oversight.

+ Develop and review test strategies and validation plans.

+ Interface with clients and represent engineering in technical meetings.

+ Contribute to quoting, requirements definition, and project planning.

+ Follow Business Technology policies to protect sensitive data and reduce information security occurrences.

Education and Experience: (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)

+ BS in Mechanical Engineering.

+ 5+ years of experience.

+ Expert CAD and documentation skills.

+ Ability to manage cross-functional technical efforts.

+ Clear written and verbal communication with customers.

+ Excellent teamwork/interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively

+ Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, both within and outside one's own work group

+ Demonstrate commitment and adherence to Sigma Design Core Values

+ Pass a post-offer background verification

Work Environment

Standard office environment with normal amounts of office related conditions. Occasionally may be required to work in environmental conditions that emulate typical user environments in order to facilitate design testing and validation. Occasionally may be required to travel as required to other facilities, clients, or suppliers.
