Job Description

This cross-functional aviation role requires the candidate to handle various responsibilities such as creating wiring diagrams, writing test procedures, integrating systems, collaborating with technicians, and preparing comprehensive test reports.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct specification reviews, development reports, design reviews, and create specifications, design documents, user guides, and work instructions.
  • Generate wiring diagrams in AutoCAD using ICD data provided by the Project Engineer and Manager.
  • Create test plans, test procedures, and technical reports.
  • Utilize test equipment for aircraft systems effectively.
  • Respond to engineering issues affecting aircraft operation and provide support.
  • Support fault investigations in the hanger.
Essential Skills
  • Designing and developing electrical systems for aerospace use.
  • Repairing and analyzing electrical systems.
  • Solid understanding of electronic circuit technology, including analog and digital.
  • Working knowledge of FAA regulations Part 27 and 29 preferred.
  • Strong written, PC, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to estimate task completion time and meet deadlines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a similar field.
  • Minimum of four years of experience in design, development, and testing of integrated or non-integrated systems for aerospace use.
  • Ability to work with a high degree of personal autonomy.
Work Environment

The role involves working closely with technicians and engineers in a dynamic aviation setting. Candidates should be comfortable working in a hanger environment for fault investigations and be adept at using test equipment for aircraft systems. The position requires a high level of autonomy and the ability to meet deadlines.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $75.00/hr.
