The salary range posted represents the low and high end of OSIs salary range for this position. Salaries will vary based on various factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, experience and performance. Base salary is one component of OSIs overall total rewards package. Other components may include bonuses, special pay programs, comprehensive time off, 401k with match and a full suite of benefit offerings for you and your family.

Position Summary:

The Fabricator will be responsible for building, assembling, and repairing metal structures and components according to specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience with various tools and equipment such as welders, grinders, and cutting machines, and will ensure all work meets quality and safety standards.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.

Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials using hand and power tools.

Weld, bolt, or rivet components together using appropriate techniques.

Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality, and adherence to specification

Operate fabrication machinery including shears, saws, presses, etc.

Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Assist with the design and improvement of fabrication processes or components as needed.

Replace broken belts, bearings, and motors.

Applies knowledge of electrical, utilities and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation and preventing failure.

This role has the responsibility to understand and places in practice appropriate safety procedures. This responsibility is achieved through education, training, use of protective equipment (as applicable) and by following safety policies, regulations, standards, and laws.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience & Skills:

5-7 years of experience in a related field

Knowledge of safety practices and OSHA requirements

Basic understanding of automation maintenance and machinery upkeep

Familiarity with industrial mechanics and lubrication techniques

Proficient in using hand and power tools

Experience with troubleshooting and repairing motors and pumps

Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems up to 480 volts

Skilled in sanitary welding

Capable of metal fabrication and design

Experience in rigging and setting up new equipment

Ability to rebuild pumps

Competence in reading and interpreting blueprints

Preferred Education:

High School Diploma and/or equivalent work experience is required.

Trade School on Welding a plus

Work Environment:

Work can be performed within a manufacturing plant environment with noise, extreme temperatures, and significant movement of powered equipment, people and conveyor (may depend on the role).

Work conditions are typical of a food manufacturing facility.

This role does not require any domestic travel

Position may require the physical agility of lifting up to 50 pounds

Position may require frequent and/or infrequent of bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching, use hands or fingers, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, controls and standing/walking on concrete flooring.

Position may require the physical ability to stand/walk for Greater than 4 hours.
