Job Description:
Penn E&R is seeking a full-time Civil Engineer (mid-level) at our Pittsburgh, PA office. You will have the opportunity to perform a wide range of tasks across all of Penn E&Rs market sectors and be expected to perform both office-based and field-based assignments.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain within 1 year
- 4 to 7 years of civil engineering experience
- Work experience in the following is a plus:
- Hydrology and hydraulics
- Erosion and sediment controls
- Stormwater management controls
- Land Development
- AutoCAD Civil 3D
Applicable work experience for this role includes:
- Provide technical guidance for the preparation of site plans, erosion and sediment control plans, post-construction stormwater management plans, and land development/subdivision plans
- Hydrology and hydraulic and drainage calculations
- Erosion and sediment control design
- Stormwater management calculations
- Post-Construction Stormwater Management BMP design
- AutoCAD/Civil 3D and standard drafting techniques and applications with experience in the preparation of the following:
- Creating 3-D surfaces
- Grading plans
- Profiles/cross-sections
- Pipe networks and corridors
- Working with Project Managers to coordinate with clients and prepare proposals
