PRST is seeking an experienced Journeyman Framing Carpenter to join our team in the Erie, Pennsylvania area. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of residential experience, along with commercial experience. While we are looking for an individual to suit this position, the knowledge of some concrete, plumbing, and fiberglass experience is necessary as well. A self-starter would be considered for this position. This is going to be an ongoing project, and the right candidate should have the right tools. Note: The hourly rate for this position is $25 - $29 / hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. Responsibilities:

  • Perform exterior work, including the installation of decks, windows, doors
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements
  • Build and install pergolas with attention to detail and craftsmanship
  • Reframe roofs as part of ongoing construction projects
  • Install siding, ensuring a high-quality finish
  • Framing doors, walls, window and etc
  • Ensure that all work complies with local building codes and industry standards
  • Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good working condition and report any issues to management

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in residential carpentry, with a focus on residential framing
  • Proficient in using hand and power tools, such as saws, drills, and nail guns
  • Knowledge of some plumbing, concrete, and fiberglass
  • Precision in cutting, fitting, and assembling materials to ensure structural integrity
  • Capability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various weather conditions
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • OSHA 10 is a plus
  • Must have carpentry tools and willing to bring to site
  • Must be able to start immediately
