Position Summary

Maintain and support in-house developed applications as well as legacy and new infrastructure. Serve as an escalation point for issues regarding Netapp Storage and Storage networks, Compute, Vmware Vsphere Vsan, Infoblox and Ultradns DNS, Freeipa authentication, SSL certificate management and Linux. Plan software upgrades, carry out capacity planning and capacity extensions. Troubleshoot performance issues, identify bottlenecks and assist with resolutions. Work in datacenters and with datacenter co-lo providers to install, repair, refresh and decommission equipment throughout its lifecycle. Migrate services to the cloud using aws filegateway, aws snowfamily and netapp cloud volumes. Document new procedures and functions for various teams. Participate in an on-call duty rotations supporting high-transaction 24x7 environments. Train new members of the team through knowledge transfer sessions. Work with Cloudflare CDN. Additional duties include the following:

  • Ensure the successful and continued operation of production infrastructure;

  • Troubleshoot, maintain and repair infrastructure problems according to Service Level Requirements;

  • Monitor and report on storage infrastructure operations on a regular basis;

  • Firewall planning, maintenance and reporting;

  • Review VPN configuration and maintenance;

  • Assess configuration needs for integration of partner systems;

  • Gather and compile documentation as required;

  • Proactively address business process issues regarding storage through architecture design, development and implementation as well as business process re-engineering;

  • Perform on-call work related to monitoring and responding to system outages as required;

  • Perform internal\external DNS management;

  • Troubleshoot requests regarding performance issues including working with vendors to isolate and resolve tier 2 issues;

  • Maximize infrastructure performance via monitoring and troubleshooting infrastructure problems and outages;

  • Schedule upgrades via change control and maintenance windows;

  • Test, evaluate and propose recommendations on best practice methodologies surrounding emerging technologies that would benefit the business;

  • Manage dashboards used for monitoring production environments;

  • Work as a member of a project team to deliver new business systems;

  • Maintain security and control of all respective infrastructure systems and review and patch systems as required;

  • Complete status reports, systems utilization reports, and other required reports for management;

  • Recommend changes and enhancements;

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Four (4) years experience in the job offered or as an Infrastructure Engineer or any combination thereof.

  • Required Certification: Netapp Certified Implementation Engineer SAN, ONTAP

  • Required Certification: AWS Solutions Architect - Associate

Four (4) years experience (can be gained concurrently with above) must include the following:

  • Netapp Storage

  • Netapp snapmirror replication

  • Netapp Cloud volumes Ontap in Aws

  • Brocade san switches

  • Cisco MDS san switches

  • San fabrics with multiple switches in the same fabric

  • Vmware Vsphere

  • Vmware Vsphere Vsan

  • Cisco switches

  • Linux

  • Datacenter work, installing and troubleshooting hardware

  • Aws filegateway

  • Aws snow family / snowball

  • Freeipa authentication

  • Infoblox Dns

  • Ultradns

  • Cloudflare

  • Squid proxy

  • Pulp

  • SSL Certificate procurement, management and deploy (not a certification)

  • Haproxy

Employees will receive 5.23 hours of Paid Time Off (PTO) every pay period and 12 paid holidays throughout the calendar year". Offered Annual salary : $115,981.00.
