You will be a part of the JBT Marel poultry division , located in Russellville, AR, manufacturing our C.A.T. brand of chillers, injectors, pumps, and plant monitoring and weighing systems for primary processing.

As a CNC Press Brake Operator you will be measuring and inspecting equipment to ensure components meet tolerance specifications and quality standards while embracing the Lean Enterprise strategy and adhering to all safety policies.

Essential Duties and Percent of Time Spent:

• (50%) Reads work orders, bills of materials, blueprints, and other written or verbal work instructions. Perform required machine set-ups and operate CNC Press Brake. Monitor, process, and make adjustments to maintain quality parts and troubleshoot issues. Use precision measuring devices to take measurements to ensure quality parts and reduce rework.
• (25%) Must be able to effectively communicate within a team environment. Ability to take oral and written instructions and complete tasks within the defined labor standards. Ability to be cross trained in job functions based on capacity requirements.
• (20%) Perform routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages. Prioritize necessary actions to complete jobs before deadlines. Utilize computer applications to monitor time and job assignments that need to be completed. File records of approved and defective units or final products.
• (5%) Performs all duties in a safe manner and keeps all employees aware of potential dangers in work area. Cleans and performs preventative maintenance on tools and equipment if required. Practices good housekeeping in work area and properly disposes of waste according to safety and environmental policies.

Requirements

Knowledge and Skills:

• Must have High School Diploma or GED
• 1-year related work experience with CNC, print reading and measuring devices.
• Demonstrated ability to meet safety, production , and quality requirements in assigned area .
• Computer skills in Microsoft applications , tracking software (Syteline, Shop- trak , etc.)
• Good oral and written communication skills and ability to work within a team environment . Safety and detail oriented . Shop math including decimals and fractions.

Experience :

• CNC Press Brake experience and using similar tools and measuring equipment preferred .
• Metal forming, cutting and grinding

Work Environment and Physical Demands :

W ork Environment:

• Spends majority of time in a manufacturing environment.
• Exposure to possible shop hazards including noise, heavy lifting, machinery, cranes, industrial and construction equipment.
• Could be exposed to diverse hot and cold climate conditions for extended periods of time.

Physical Demands:

• While performing the duties of this job is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk.
• Ability to use full functionality of hands.
• Regularly required to lift and move 50 pounds and above .
• Ability to push mobile carts and work from a ladder or platform .
• Ability to see and hear effectively.
