JOB DESCRIPTION \~ STRUCTURAL DRAFTSMAN I

SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, prepares and checks drawings and support

documents for fabrication of

direct fired heaters, waste heat recovery units and air preheat systems.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

? Obtains basic mechanical and structural data from project documents

and design sketches.

? Prepares fabrication drawings using CAD techniques.

? Compiles shipping lists and prepares shipping profile sketches in

preparation for transporting

the manufactured equipment to the clients destination.

? Checking roles to perform detailed review of coworker drawings and

documents.

? Assists the engineering staff in developing sketches for client

presentations.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

? High School Diploma

? Engineering Technology Degree (preferred)

? Certificate of Competency in Structural or Mechanical Drafting

(Preferred)

? 3+ Years of Similar Drafting Experience Minimum

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

? Strong math skills that include a working knowledge of the basic

principles of geometry and

trigonometry.

? Fluent with AutoCAD software.

? Detail oriented with a desire for accuracy.

? Good verbal communication and social skills.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES PREFERRED:

? Experience with 3D modeling detailed structures utilizing AutoCAD,

SolidWorks, or Inventor.

? Prior work experience in a steel fabrication shop.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

? Work indoors with controlled environment.

? No or very limited physical effort is required.

? No or very limited exposure to physical risk.

SCHEDULE:

? M-TH: 7:30 am 5:30 pm (1 hour lunch break)

? F: 7:30 am 11:30 am
