Position Summary
The Organizational Development (OD) Manager is a strategic internal partner responsible for delivering high-impact solutions that improve individual, team, and organizational effectiveness. Working closely with HR Business Partners, regional leadership, and functional teams, this role is focused on supporting the business through a core set of OD services: New Leader Assimilation, Teaming Sessions, Partnering Sessions, Organizational Assessment & Diagnosis, Strategy Development & Execution, and Change Management.
This individual plays a key role in fostering team cohesion, facilitating effective group processes, and driving initiatives that align culture, leadership, and performance with the company's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Organizational Consulting & Solution Design
- Partner with leaders to assess team or organizational challenges and opportunities through a structured consultative approach.
- Conduct needs assessments, root cause analysis, and organizational diagnostics.
- Develop data-driven, OD strategies aligned with business goals.
- Collaborate to implement and evaluate interventions that enhance organizational performance and culture.
Facilitation & Team Development
- Lead high-impact engagement such as New Leader Assimilation, Teaming and Partnering sessions, and strategic off-sites.
- Guide teams through alignment processes to foster trust, communication, cohesion, and accountability.
- Apply effective facilitation techniques to promote engagement, decision-making, and conflict resolution.
- Manage complex group dynamics to enable open dialogue and team clarity.
Project Management & Execution
- Manage OD initiatives from intake through execution, ensuring clear scope, timelines, and accountability.
- Track outcomes and impact using agreed-upon measures of success.
- Develop supporting tools and materials tailored to client needs.
Core OD Services Delivery
- New Leader Assimilation: Accelerate integration of leaders with their teams through facilitated discussions and structured onboarding experiences.
- Teaming Sessions: Build high-performing teams through trust-building, communication, and healthy conflict practices.
- Partnering Sessions: Facilitate alignment among cross-functional or external teams for large or complex projects.
- Organizational Assessment & Diagnosis: Analyze structure, performance, and dynamics to provide actionable insights.
- Strategy Development & Execution: Facilitate the creation and alignment of team or department strategy in support of broader company goals.
- Change Management: Guide the organization through transitions by applying change models and building readiness and resilience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, HR, Business, Communications, Psychology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in Organizational Development, HR, or Learning & Development
- Travel required (approx. 40%)
- Demonstrated experience designing and facilitating interventions in team dynamics, leadership development, strategy execution, and change
- Ability to influence and effectively manage diverse stakeholder relationships
- Interpret, apply and communicate organizational development principles in a way that adds value to our stakeholders
- Comfortable navigating complex organizational structures and political environments
- Superior verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience in applying change management principles in a team or organization
- Experience with interpreting organizational assessments, data analysis, and diagnostics (preferred)
- Familiarity with OD tools, behavioral assessments, and facilitation technologies (preferred)
