Maintenance Mechanic Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at a rendering facility. The role involves responding to breakdowns and performing preventative maintenance work to ensure smooth operations. Responsibilities Respond promptly to mechanical breakdowns to minimize downtime. Conduct preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment. Troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively and efficiently. Repair and maintain hydraulics and pneumatics systems. Utilize power tools and work with gear boxes and 3 phase motors. Essential Skills Proven experience as a maintenance technician. Strong troubleshooting skills in a manufacturing environment. Ability to perform mechanical repairs. Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Experience in preventative maintenance practices. Additional Skills & Qualifications Capability to work off shifts as needed. Being a team player with a willingness to work in challenging environments. Comfortable working with power tools and mechanical equipment. Work Environment The work environment is both indoor and outdoor and can be tough, involving exposure to smelly, dusty, and dirty conditions. It requires a hands-on approach and the ability to adapt to varying conditions. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
