Press Brake Operator**
**Job Description**
As a Press Brake Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating a press brake machine to bend, form, and shape metal sheets and components according to engineering drawings and specifications. This role ensures precision and quality in metal fabrication processes, contributing to the production of high-quality parts and assemblies.
**Responsibilities**
+ Set up and operate press brake machines using manual, semi-automatic, or CNC controls.
+ Select appropriate tooling and dies based on job specifications.
+ Adjust machine settings to accommodate material type, thickness, and bend requirements.
+ Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
+ Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, protractors, and other precision tools.
+ Ensure parts meet specified tolerances and quality standards.
+ Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines.
+ Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE.
+ Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors.
+ Maintain accurate production records and job logs.
+ Communicate with team members and supervisors regarding job status and issues.
+ Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
+ Additional duties as assigned by manager.
**Essential Skills**
+ Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
+ Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
+ Proficiency in using measuring tools and gauges.
+ Basic math skills, including geometry and trigonometry.
+ Familiarity with CNC programming is a plus.
+ Good communication and teamwork skills.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Production experience with tape measures, blueprint reading, sheet metal, press brake, shear, assembly, punch press, brake, shear press.
