- Research and source vendors for wire harnesses, connectors, relays, switches, contactors, circuit breakers, terminals, etc.
- Use Creo Electrical drawings via Windchill to access schematics and panel layouts.
- Size wires and voltages based on your electrical experience.
- Support sustaining products, including quality improvements, cost reductions, component obsolescence management, and failure analysis.
- Evaluate and approve components to meet requirements for availability, performance, and cost.
- Determine root causes and corrective actions for component failures.
- Troubleshoot electrical component issues on the production floor and identify if the issue is design-related, supplier quality-related, or production-related.
- Proficiency in reading and creating schematics, controls, and connection prints.
- Knowledge of UL 508 and UL 1995 standards.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with wire harnesses and electrical components.
- Experience in automation and electrical engineering.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology, or substantial experience as an Electrical Engineering Technician.
- Excellent communication skills for interfacing with team members across various skill levels.
- Relevant co-op or internship experience.
You will work at the Electrical Engineering Product department with main hours from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Initially, the role will be in-office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with remote work on Monday and Friday, unless in-office presence is required. There is a possibility of transitioning to a full 5-day in-office schedule, so candidates must be comfortable and commutable for such changes.
