Tool & Die Fabricator - Manual Machining Specialist (1st & 3rd Shift)

3+ years of hands-on experience in tool construction and repair, utilizing manual mills, lathes, and hand tools is required

Pay is up to $45/hour

First Shift is min. 8-hour shifts, 5 days a week (typically 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Mon-Fri)

May require 10-hour shifts, 5 days/wk or occasional Saturday shifts depending on demand

Third Shift is 10-hour shifts, 4-5 days a week (typically from 9:00 PM - 7:30 AM)

Must be a United States citizen or Green Card holder

Full-time, permanent W-2 employee

The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate will include the following:

Interpret work orders, 3D CAD models, blueprints, and technical data to determine job requirements and collaborate with team members, Foreman, Project Manager, and Designers

Complete tool builds and repairs to customer specifications, stage components for assembly, and set up and operate machines (manual mills, lathes, grinders) to meet desired specifications

Inspect finished workpieces, perform maintenance on equipment, and assist in mentoring apprentices and interns

Propose improvements in mold design, production methods, and equipment performance while collaborating with Toolmakers and Machinists for efficiency

Manage shipping/receiving for related tooling components, maintain a clean workspace, engage in 6S activities, and communicate job priorities and updates to team members

The background of the successful candidate must include the following:

3+ years of experience constructing and repairing tools

Good record keeping and collaboration with others

Pay is up to $45/hour

A solid work history

A US citizen or possess a green card
