Experienced Cabinet Maker

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cabinet Maker to join our team. As a Cabinet Maker, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality cabinets, furniture, and other wooden fixtures. You will work with various tools and materials to create custom pieces, ensuring they meet the highest standards of craftsmanship. This role requires a strong attention to detail, precision, and a passion for woodworking. The ideal candidate will be able to interpret design specifications and work independently to bring creative visions to life.

Responsibilities:

- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and design specifications to create custom cabinets and furniture.

- Select and source the appropriate materials, including wood, hardware, and finishes.

- Safely operate a variety of hand and power tools, including saws, drills, routers, sanders, and joinery tools.

- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and wood products using precise techniques.

- Ensure the quality and accuracy of all components, joints, and finishes.

- Apply stains, paints, and other finishes to enhance the appearance of the completed pieces.

- Install cabinets and fixtures in accordance with project requirements.

- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the proper storage of tools and materials.

- Collaborate with designers, clients, and other team members to address any design changes or special requests.

- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and maintain a safe work environment.

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Cabinet Maker or a similar role in woodworking.

- Proficiency in woodworking techniques, including cutting, shaping, and joinery.

- Strong knowledge of different wood types and their characteristics.

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and design specifications.

- Skilled in the safe operation of hand and power tools.

- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, precise work.

- Strong problem-solving skills to address design challenges and adapt to project requirements.

- Knowledge of wood finishes, including staining and painting.

- Excellent time management and organization skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy materials and equipment.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients and team members.

- Dedication to workplace safety and adherence to safety guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Formal education or apprenticeship in carpentry or cabinet making.

- Certification in woodworking or a related field.

- Previous experience in custom cabinetry and furniture making.

- Proficiency in using computer-aided design (CAD) software for design and layout.

- Knowledge of sustainable and eco-friendly woodworking practices.
