Licensed Land Surveyor / Project Manager

Lead survey operations for our client's civil and transportation projects. This senior-level position manages multiple field crews, oversees project delivery, and drives client development while enjoying the stability of an employee-owned firm ranked for top-tier benefits. Key Responsibilities Plan and supervise daily activities of several field crews and office technicians. Enforce QA/QC, manage budgets, schedules, and client expectations. Coordinate with VDOT and local municipalities on roadway and utility corridor surveys. Grow regional business through proposal support and relationship building. Coach staff through regular one-on-one sessions and performance planning. Required Qualifications PLS license in Virginia or eligibility to sit for the exam within six months of hire (exam fees paid by JMT). Twelve plus years of survey experience with at least five in a supervisory role. Extensive VDOT/Hampton Roads municipal project background. Fluency with Bentley MicroStation / OpenRoads and AutoCAD Civil 3D. In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local survey regulations. High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's in surveying or civil tech . Subsurface utility locating/designating expertise. Experience with LiDAR, aerial mapping, or sUAS operations.
