Structural Engineer - Full Time Location: Florida (statewide projects) Travel: Local site visits occasional international travel to Medellin, Colombia Company: Designda Inc. - Architecture & Engineering Firm About the Role Designda is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Structural Engineer to join our growing team. This position will play a key role in the review, design, and inspection of structural systems for both residential and commercial projects throughout Florida. The ideal candidate is someone early in their career who is looking to grow long-term within a modern, fast-moving firm that blends in-person work with international collaboration. Our second office is located in Medellin, Colombia, and occasional travel is part of the role. MUST BE A PE. Key Responsibilities Review structural designs and ensure compliance with Florida Building Code (FBC) Collaborate with our in-house architects and engineering team during design development Perform structural calculations and assist in preparing construction documents Conduct field inspections and site visits to ensure compliance with approved plans Identify redlines and make necessary corrections in coordination with the drafting team Coordinate with permitting authorities, contractors, and clients as needed Maintain project documentation and support internal project management systems Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (required) PE license in FL required. 1-3 years of experience in structural design or inspection () Familiarity with Florida Building Code and common structural systems Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, structural analysis software (e.g., RISA, STAAD), and Microsoft Office Strong communication and organizational skills Spanish fluency is a plus, but not required Willingness to travel locally and occasionally to our Medellin office Why Join Designda?
