Job Summary

Performs project design and engineering using both company personnel and contract personnel; supervises engineering personnel in the design of projects involving relocation work, joint use make ready work, capital budget projects and large industrial and commercial projects. Key customer contacts/interfaces are managers of the distribution system, planning engineers, area managers, other business units and departments (including transmission, station, P&C, DDC, etc.) customer contractors, and developers and industrial customers. Manages annual O&M and capital budgets.

Job Description

What You'll Do:

1.) Ensure that each employee maintains a customer focused attitude by conveying a thorough understanding of customer expectations and instill the importance of achieving superior customer satisfaction.

2.) Provide supervision for distribution project design support.

3.) Provide supervision to design engineers and technicians on projects.

4.) Provide support to district engineering in designing capital budget or other projects.

5.) Provide for project management oversight and coordination of the work of outside contractors.

6.) Provide training and ensure usage in standardization of engineering practices and provide liaison between field engineers and in the area of compatible units, standards, designs, etc.

7.) Promotes and assures standard compliance.

8.) Assist with the timely restoration of outages during major events, including Incident Command Structure role assigned.

9.) Provide support for regulatory reporting.

What We're Looking For:

Education requirements are listed below: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering in a program accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET)* with 3 years' experience in the design of power system electrical distribution facilities or 5 years' experience in distribution operations, construction, and/or maintenance.

Work Experience requirement listed below: 3 years' experience in the design of power system electrical distribution facilities or 5 years' experience in distribution operations, construction, and/or maintenance.

Required License(s)/Certification(s) are listed below: Professional Engineer Certification preferred.

Other Must Haves:

$112,869.00-146,730.50 USD
