This role creates, implements and improves engineering designs, processes, techniques, tooling and machinery to meet customer requirements and maximize product quality.

What You Will Do:
Creating new designs and resolves issues regarding the manufacturing or building sequences. Ensuring design acceptance and manufacturing readiness.
Participating in the adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, computer aided manufacturing software, etc.) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement.
Planning and improving engineering procedures and operations to make the product or process more reliable, efficient and cost-effective.
Collaborating with all functional areas, ( marketing, purchasing , manufacturing) to provide a design solution that meets the requirements of the customer and dealer network.

Education Requirement
Bachelors degree in Engineering , Computer Science, or Materials Science .

What You Will Have:
Analytical Thinking : Ability to break down complex problems, compare alternatives, and use tools like flowcharts and Pareto charts to identify root causes and solutions.

Effective Communication : Skilled in delivering clear, jargon-free communication and constructive feedback across teams and stakeholders.

Technical Excellence : Solid foundation in applying engineering principles and current technologies to solve functional challenges and improve product quality.

Team Collaboration : Understands team dynamics and contributes to building effective, cohesive teams across traditional and virtual environments.

Design for Manufacturability (DFM) : Applies DFM principles to simplify designs, reduce costs, and improve manufacturability using standard tools and practices.

Manufacturing Engineering : Supports engineering operations by resolving issues, drafting specifications, and ensuring compliance with standards.

Product Testing : Executes and documents testing procedures to ensure product quality, safety, and compliance with functional requirements.

Troubleshooting : Uses standard diagnostic tools and procedures to identify and resolve technical issues in manufacturing or development environments.

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

  • Additive Manufacturing Experience : Hands-on familiarity with additive manufacturing processes, especially FDM, and the ability to set up builds effectively.

  • Creo Design Background : Proficiency in using Creo for product design and optimization.

  • Caterpillar Experience : Prior experience within Caterpillar or familiarity with its engineering and manufacturing environment is a strong plus.

Relocation is not offered for this position.

Less than 25% travel expected.

Summary Pay Range:

$95,640.00 - $143,520.00
