Key Responsibilities:
- Design structural systems for commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings
- Perform structural analysis and calculations using industry-standard software
- Prepare construction documents including drawings, specifications, and reports
- Review shop drawings and submittals, and provide construction administration support
- Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and monitor construction progress
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design integration and code compliance
- Stay current with local, state, and national building codes and engineering standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Masters preferred)
- 25 years of structural design experience in a consulting or construction environment
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., RISA, RAM, ETABS, SAP2000)
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong understanding of steel, concrete, masonry, and wood design
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- EIT certification required; PE license or ability to obtain is a plus
