- Coordinate design activities and perform various drafting tasks.
- Prepare and update installation and manufacturing drawings.
- Establish guidelines and procedures for CAD data management.
- Collect and compile all project drawings, data, and notes.
- Work closely with engineers to develop mechanical/physical concepts and designs.
- Create detailed 2D drawings of equipment, structures, systems, and components.
- Assist in defining and developing system/component geometric interfaces.
- Assess models for manufacturability and assembly integration considerations.
- Create and verify manufacturing technical data packs and 2D component drawings.
- Ensure SSCs are properly designed and integrated into overall system designs.
- Serve as an information source on equipment installation planning and design.
- Maintain notes, design calculations, and other documentation for future reference.
- Identify and communicate best CAD modeling and drafting practices.
- Engage vendors in the design and manufacturing of systems and components.
- Suggest design changes and improvements based on DFM and DFA principles.
- Collaborate in planning, scheduling, and organizing detailed phases of engineering work.
- Establish filing guidelines for maintaining up-to-date drawings.
- Maintain system and model compatibility in the PLM system.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Experience with 2D Drafting/Design
- Knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical
- Experience with Vault
- Experience drafting electrical cabinets/panels/boxes with wire routing
- P&ID Drafting Experience
- Associates degree in drafting, CAD, engineering or related field, or high school diploma with 2 years of relevant experience
- Familiarity with dimensioning and tolerancing standards
- Plant design experience
This is an on-site office environment role, with a Monday to Friday schedule. The position offers billable holiday and PTO benefits.
