Construction Project Superintendent
Job Description

The Construction Project Superintendent plays a critical role in managing construction schedules, ensuring project milestones are met, and maintaining the quality and safety standards of the project. The position requires an individual who can troubleshoot issues, conduct meetings with subcontractors, and coordinate schedules to meet project requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Follow construction schedules and monitor progress to ensure project milestones are achieved.
  • Troubleshoot issues involving workers, contractors, safety, quality, changes, or processes and expedite solutions.
  • Conduct meetings with subcontractors and schedule employees from different trades according to project requirements.
  • Read and interpret drawings to ensure construction aligns with approved plans and specifications.
  • Perform quality control inspections to confirm installed materials match approved submittals.
  • Schedule job inspections with appropriate governing authorities.
  • Collaborate with the Project Engineer on submittals before submission.
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly reports per schedule.
  • Review subcontractor Change Order Requests (CORs) for validity and cost.
  • Perform material take-offs and estimate man hours for in-house work generated through change orders.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop and update project schedules and procurement logs.
  • Conduct weekly safety and quality focus meetings to enforce company safety and quality programs.
  • Identify and address potential safety hazards.
Essential Skills
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial construction.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Project, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Advanced working knowledge of project plans and specifications.
  • Prior experience leading, directing, and supervising others.
  • Superintendent experience with subcontractor management and scheduling/project management.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with Procore software preferred.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41.00 - $50.00/hr.
