Material Handler**
**Pay: $20-21/hour**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to accurately provide inventory information for company-controlled material stock. This role involves monitoring, organizing, and maintaining the inventory of our products at multiple branch locations, working alongside a diverse team.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate sit-down forklifts, order pickers, and side-loader forklifts.
+ Conduct inventory control and cycle counting duties.
+ Enter data for inventory into a computer and record data manually using a clipboard.
+ Load and unload metal materials, both manually and with a forklift.
+ Complete material receiving activities for shipments between locations or direct from the mill.
+ Coordinate the movement of material from stock to processing to support production requirements.
+ Operate material handling equipment as necessary to support material movement.
+ Perform accurate and timely data entry within the inventory management system regarding material movements.
+ Prepare and maintain appropriate inventory identification tags.
+ Complete material consolidation tasks, including supermarket activities.
+ Identify material shortages and issues, communicating them to the appropriate staff.
+ Perform verification of scrap materials.
+ Maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all work.
+ Assist the quality assurance team in activities related to credits.
+ Perform equipment preventative maintenance and clean-up.
**Essential Skills**
+ Ability and experience operating a sit-down forklift.
+ Strong attendance and work history with regards to tenure.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, and general labor.
+ Proficiency in computer data entry and order picking.
