Marine Technician**

**Job Description**

We are seeking skilled Marine Technicians with expertise in shipboard systems and integrated equipment/software. This role requires individuals who can install, operate, maintain, repair, and modify equipment both at company and customer locations, and who possess a comprehensive understanding of production processes.

**Responsibilities**

+ Install, operate, maintain, repair, and modify equipment.

+ Provide maintenance and technical support on shipboard systems and integrated systems.

+ Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions to resolve issues swiftly.

+ Interface with customers and manage subcontractors effectively.

+ Develop and utilize technical documents, including controlled work packages and formal work processes.

+ Schedule, report, and brief customers and senior management.

+ Perform duties outside of specialty to complete installations or work assignments.

**Essential Skills**

+ Experience in marine, ship repair, valves, electrical, hydraulics, and diesel systems.

+ Must have galley experience and EPA certification.

+ High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of related experience.

+ Ability to read, interpret, and follow blueprints, technical drawings, and manuals.

+ Knowledge of safety and quality control procedures.

+ Experience with power tools and measurement devices.

+ Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance and base access credentials.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ A division or E division experience from the navy is required.

**Work Environment**

Work is conducted at Naval Station Norfolk, providing an engaging and challenging environment focused on the maintenance and repair of shipboard systems. The role may involve complex and non-routine tasks requiring flexibility and technical expertise.

**Job Type & Location**

This is a Contract position based out of Virginia Beach, Virginia.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
