Our Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure/Connected Edge team delivers specialized engineering capabilities to design, implement, manage, and operate hybrid cloud environments. We modernize networks and AI infrastructure from the core to the edge and develop new infrastructure and device services to help clients stay ahead with the latest technology advancements.

As a Manager/ Specialist Master at Deloitte Consulting, you will be responsible for delivering high quality end-to-end solutions towards enabling edge infrastructure solutions across design, architecture, dimensioning, BOM, provisioning and operations for our clients. You will mentor and lead a team of engineers in delivering these solutions for the client within specified timelines and in an agile manner. In addition, you will also be involved in leading the development of new solution capabilities, proof-of-concept solutions, architecture blueprints and discussion documents to aid in sales pursuits with clients.

Work You'll Do:

+ Edge Design & Architecture: Define edge system specifications, logical and deployment architectures, and integration patterns for distributed environments.

+ Edge Dimensioning & BOM: Perform resource sizing, capacity planning, and generate detailed Bill of Materials (BOM) for edge infrastructure components

+ Edge Configuration & Setup: Configure, provision, and onboard edge devices and platforms, ensuring compliance with network and security standards.

+ Edge Management & Automation: Implement automated workflows for edge operations; deploy monitoring, observability, and AI/ML-driven management tools for real-time system health and predictive analytics.

+ Application Deployment: Orchestrate and manage containerized and non-containerized application deployments across edge nodes, ensuring high availability and performance

+ Edge Security: Enforce physical and data security controls, including device hardening, encryption, access management, and continuous threat monitoring at the edge.

+ Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, security specialists and network engineers.

+ Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.

+ Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of edge infrastructure designs and processes.

+ Mentorship: Train and mentor junior team members on edge and cloud computing technologies and best practices.

Required Qualifications:

+ 8 plus years' experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

+ Proven expertise deploying, configuring, and managing edge orchestration platforms from hyperscalers (e.g., AWS Greengrass, AWS Wavelength, AWS Outposts, Google Distributed Cloud Edge, Azure IoT Edge)

+ Experience integrating and operating third-party edge management solutions (e.g., HPE GreenLake, Zededa) for distributed edge environments

+ Ability to automate application deployment, lifecycle management, and policy enforcement across heterogeneous edge nodes using these platforms

+ In-depth knowledge of edge hardware architecture, including component selection, system sizing, and network topology design using CSP-provided or vendor-specific hardware (e.g., Dell EMC, HPE, Lenovo)

+ Hands-on experience with physical installation, configuration, and onboarding of edge devices, including BIOS/firmware setup, hardware security module (HSM) integration, and connectivity with cloud or on-premises management systems

+ Familiarity with hardware provisioning tools, remote management interfaces (e.g., iDRAC, iLO), and best practices for edge device hardening and resilience

+ Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or similar

+ Ability to travel up to 50% of the time nationwide

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to address client-specific challenges.

+ Ability to quickly adapt to changing client requirements and emerging technologies.

+ Demonstrated leadership in managing client projects, ensuring timely delivery and client satisfaction.

+ Understanding of business processes and the ability to align technical solutions with client business goals.

+ Familiarity with virtualization technologies like VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM

+ Knowledge of identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and compliance standards

+ Skilled in CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab/GitHub, and Harness

+ Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Stackdriver, Prometheus, Dynatrace, Datadog, ELK, or similar

+ Familiarity with virtualization technologies like VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM

+ Knowledge of identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and compliance standards

+ Skilled in CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab/GitHub, and Harness

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $124,700 to $241,000. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
