Short Description

Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, perform a variety of general, HVAC, Plumbing, and basic electrical/ repair preventive maintenance duties; repair and overhaul equipment and facilities of the Hospital. Assure compliance with all Hospital policies and procedures regarding quality assurance, safety, environmental and infectious control and all regulatory requirements.

Duties:

  • Perform carpentry and other related maintenance duties.
  • Comply with all codes & requirements of accreditations and regulatory agencies.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs as related to the construction trades.
  • Ability to use ladders, scaffolding and or mechanical lifts.
  • Assist other trades personnel as needed.
  • Maintain all required records, reports and statistics.
  • Maintain department supplies, equipment and work areas.
  • Requisition supply and equipment needs.
  • Attend in-services and other meetings as required.
  • Able to work weekends and evenings as needed.
  • Perform other duties as directed.
  • Hvac troubleshooting with pump/motor and compressor knowledge.
  • Performs additional duties requested by the Supervisor/Director
Experience Required

1 year work experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the major functions of this job

and a basic understanding of the craft and mechanical trades of that are employed by the hospital.

Experience with personal computers, electronic instruments and testing equipment.

Education Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
