Our client in Rochester, NY is seeking a skilled and motivated Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to keep their production floor running at full speed. This is a direct hire opportunity with a long-standing company that values craftsmanship, reliability, and continuous improvement.

Salary: $59,280-$72,800/yr

Schedule: Day Shift M-F 8am-5pm

In this hands-on role, you’ll troubleshoot, repair, and maintain the machinery and systems that keep operations moving—from CNC equipment and robotics to cranes, conveyors, and everything in between. Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and maintain PLC systems on CNC machines and robotics.
  • Work with 12V to 480V 3-phase electrical systems (Electrician License NOT required).
  • Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring and electronic components on equipment.
  • Set up and repair industrial machinery, including drill presses, grinders, welders, and more.
  • Perform maintenance and repair tasks on overhead cranes, conveyors, and automation systems.
  • Conduct both preventative and corrective maintenance on all facility and equipment, including forklifts.
  • Collaborate with operators and supervisors to troubleshoot and fix equipment issues.
  • Available for overtime and on-call shifts as needed.
  • Assist with plant maintenance tasks, such as plumbing, painting, and general upkeep.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to minimize disruptions in production.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in electrical, mechanical, and automated systems maintenance.
  • Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting (Fanuc, HAAS programs), robotics, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  • Proficient in reading, math, and English communication.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or commercial setting with hands-on technical skills.
  • Able to operate hand and power tools with expertise.
  • Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and working in a physically demanding environment.
  • Comfortable working in plant conditions (noise, temperature variations, and welding smoke).
