Entry Level Civil Engineer
Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of workplans, technical reports, and permit applications for site remediation projects (PA/SI/RI/RAW) in accordance with NJDEP Technical Requirements for Site Remediation (N.J.A.C. 7:26E). Perform field activities such as site inspections, soil and groundwater sampling, and construction oversight under the guidance of senior staff. Support landfill design tasks, including grading, cell layout, drainage, and leachate collection/treatment system components. Assist in preparing compliance documentation such as annual bond and topographic survey reports, and regulatory submittals. Compile, analyze, and interpret data, and assist in the development of figures, plans, and drawings using AutoCAD or similar software. Coordinate with subcontractors and laboratories as needed. Maintain strong communication with project managers, clients, and regulatory agencies.
Qualifications Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (Environmental Engineering focus a plus). 03 years of experience in environmental, civil, or landfill-related projects (internships or co-ops welcome). Familiarity or coursework related to site remediation requirements and landfill operations is a plus. Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar design software preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification (or willingness to obtain). Valid drivers license and ability to perform occasional fieldwork at landfill sites and other project locations.

Description CME Associates is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Civil Engineer who is ready to start their career contributing to meaningful environmental, infrastructure, and solid waste engineering projects.
