Position Summary:

This is an application systems monitoring role, working with an application development team, infrastructure operations and engineering team to develop monitoring solutions that will mimic end-user experience and synthetic transactions. The candidate will need to understand how different components in an application work together, interaction with the middleware, system software and hardware is essential. The candidate will also need to know how the clients are using the systems to benchmark key performance indicators, document use cases, create test and implementation plans. Diverse engineering skills to architect and implement monitoring solutions.

The ideal candidate will have experience working and being successful in a large, multi-data center enterprise environment. Business acumen a plus. Communication and flexibility are important skills for this role, as special projects may be assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years Development or Architecture experience for multi-tiered business applications
  • 2+ years production systems engineering and/or support role
  • Proven experience with Splunk and Dynatrace implementation, design/build of dashboards and alerting
  • Other experience with SiteScope, Catchpoint, and AppDynamics is a plus
  • Knowledge of OS (Windows/Unix) based infrastructure services, processing, monitoring, shell scripts, etc.
  • Proven experience in application/network performance and availability monitoring

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) or similar, including experience
