Job Description The Assistant Project Manager will oversee retail and restaurant projects, managing client relationships from the initial assessment of needs through design concept presentations and final project delivery. This role ensures a positive client experience by collaborating with design and technical teams to define and understand project scope. Responsibilities
- Manage overall client relationship to ensure a positive experience.
- Collaborate with design and technical teams to understand project scope.
- Present and work with clients on approved projects.
- Establish and ensure adherence to set budgets.
- Inform Senior Project Manager, Project Director, or client of any budget variances and make appropriate modifications.
- Manage collections for assigned projects and inform Finance Manager of any issues with timely collections.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing and potential clients.
- Assign tasks, oversee work, and provide feedback to staff assigned to projects.
- 2-5 years of Construction Project Management experience.
- Experience in commercial projects, preferably retail/restaurant.
- Proficiency in project management software such as Building Connected, Procore, Microsoft Project.
- Experience in writing and negotiating contracts for services, consultants, and contractors.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage and lead team members internally and externally.
- Experience in retail construction.
- Understanding of construction management.
