Responsibilities:

- Weld steel components with welding equipment as specified by layouts, engineering drawings, work orders, and/or verbal instructions.
- Read, understand and follow job order specifications, engineering drawings, and/or work orders.
- Set up, layout work using jigs/fixtures or hand layouts to rebuild, fabricate and/or rework parts to a finished product.
- Inspect and correct welds as necessary to meet product specifications.
- Assist others in the fabrication and welding of multi-component parts.
- Operate forklifts, hoists, hand power tools, slings, grinders, cutting torch, and other hand tools related to the jobs.
- Inspect equipment to maintain functionality and if any equipment needs repairs notify the supervisor.
- Any and all duties as assigned.
- Minimum High School graduate or GED with Welder Certification Preferred.
- Knowledge of and a minimum of five years of welding experience with heavy equipment parts and service is preferred.
- Knowledge of bore welding and line boring is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills, communication skills, and customer service skills are required.
- Ability to work in the field on job sites and with customers when required.
- Ability to work with no supervision, overtime, evenings, nights, and weekends as well as on-call duties.
