**Job Description:**
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Electrician to join our team! In this role you will get to work in a team environment on a full-time basis to provide self-perform construction support in various field environments supporting the Parsons/Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) T5 Program Southern Region, based out of Atlanta, GA.
**T5 Program Summary: The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) awarded the Technical Support Services Contract 5 (T5) to Parsons in April 2023. Parsons is the prime contractor. This $1.8+ billion contract has a 4-year base period with two 3-year options. The statement of work includes a variety of activities that support the FAAs Capital Investment Plan (CIP) and certain reimbursable programs, the FAA NextGen Program, national security programs and aviation safety. Specifically, work includes site selection and engineering, construction, environmental and fire/life safety, equipment installation and testing, drafting, contract surveillance, and other technical services as required. Work is performed across the nation in each of the FAAs nine regions as well as the Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and the Technical Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey and in several U.S. territories. An average staff of 500 with a peak staff over 650 supports this contract, in addition to those subcontractors who perform construction work.**
**What You'll Be Doing:**
+ This position requires 100 percent travel throughout the Southeast.
+ Individual will receive guidance from a supervisor or higher-level technician. Work will be spot-checked for accuracy.
+ Work will be performed predominantly at FAA facilities.
+ Individual will be responsible for electrical installation and reconfiguration work and will perform a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation and repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy.
+ Installing or repairing any of a variety of electrical equipment such as panels, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, conduit systems, receptacles, orother transmission equipment.
+ Working from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications.
+ Locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment.
+ Installation of control cables (connection, pulling and dressing) in facility shelters and control tower environments including installation and/or removal or relocation of power panels and rack installation for various FAAsystems.
**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Using a variety of electrician's hand tools and measurement/testinstruments.
+ 6+ years of experience in the electrical construction industry. High school degree or equivalent required. Construction, safety, and quality training/certifications a plus. MS Office experience and computer proficiency required. Must be able to repetitively lift up to 50 pounds. Must be willing to work overtime when required.
+ Must be able to meet customer security requirements. A background check by Federal Authorities will be performed.
+ Valid driver license and ability to pass a motor vehicle record check required.
+ Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.

+ Independently plan and accomplish complete projects or studies of broad scope and complexity or serves as an expert in a narrow aspect of a particular field of engineering, e.g., electrical engineering.
+ Complexity of assignments typically requires considerable creativity and judgment to devise approaches to accomplish work, resolve design and operational problems, and make decisions in situations where standard engineering methods, procedures, and techniques may not be applicable.
+ Completed work is reviewed for compliance with overall project objectives.
+ May supervise or train and be assisted by lower-level technicians.
