Nestle is hiring for Facilities Maintenance Mechanics in the Springville, UT location. This position maintains and operates the refrigeration system, HVAC system and boilers in a large manufacturing environment.
Primary Responsibilities include:
1. Maintains, operates, and services the following systems and areas for the plant and Thrift Store:
1. Refrigeration System: compressors, piping, valving and system components.
2. Compressed air and vacuum system: compressors, vacuum pumps, piping, valving and system components.
3. Steam System: steam generating equipment, piping, valving and system components.
4. HVAC System: Air handling units and system components.
5. Fire and Security System: Fire Protection System including CO 2 and Halon system, controls and detection systems, ammonia detection system and all security gates.
6. Utility System: back-up fuel system, natural gas system, water system, sewage system and high voltage switch gear.
7. Buildings and Grounds: maintain building in good, physical repair, plant lighting system, lawn irrigation system, cafeteria and equipment, Thrift Store and equipment.
8. Will be a member of emergency response team. Annual recertification for CPR and first aid.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred 3 years minimum experience operating and maintaining boilers and steam equipment
Preferred Mechanical and electrical experience in conjunction with refrigeration/boiler experience.
Preferred Must have knowledge of safe practices for ammonia systems.
Must be physically able to wear and use SCBA and canister type breathing equipment.
Must be able to use test equipment (such as multimeters).
RETA Certified Assistant Refrigeration Operator (CARO) within one year.
RETA Certified Industrial Refrigeration Operator (CIRO within two years.
Average Starting Compensation $26-$35/hr*
