JOB REQUIREMENTS: Primary Responsibilities: Load and unload metal parts
for heat-treat processing (e.g., carburizing, hardening, nitriding),
placing items into ovens or processing lines safely. Operate material
handling equipment (forklifts, hoists, cranes) to convey metal parts and
ensure smooth workflow between staging, treatment, and shipping areas.
Inspect treated parts for quality and defects, using measuring tools and
visual checks to ensure compliance with specifications; report issues
promptly. Equipment, Tools & Maintenance: Perform basic machine setup
and operation tasks, including loading furnace baskets and monitoring
heat-treat cycles. Clean and maintain workstations, machinery, and
processing equipment to uphold safety protocols and production
efficiency. Assist with preventive and minor corrective
maintenancetightening, lubricating, replacing worn componentsas needed.
Teamwork & Operational Support: Follow precise work instructions, SOPs,
and heat-treat process guidelines to ensure safe, quality operations.
Collaborate with seasoned operators and maintainersask questions, learn
processes, and support continuous improvement. Load completed parts onto
pallets or racks for shipment, assist in organizing inventory and
staging areas. Safety & Quality Assurance: Wear required PPE (safety
glasses, gloves, steel-toed boots), follow lockout/tagout and other
established safety protocols. Report safety incidents, equipment
malfunctions, or quality deviations immediately to supervisors.
\*\*\*\*\* OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Prior manufacturing or
warehouse experience preferred (heat treating, metals, or industrial
production a plus) Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically
demanding environment with exposure to heat, noise, and moving equipment
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift
Familiarity with basic measuring tools, including tape measures,
calipers, and gauges Ability to read and follow work instructions and
standard operating procedures (SOPs) Forklift experience required;
current certification preferred (or willingness to obtain) Must be
reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented Comfortable working
independently or as part of a team Willingness to work overtime and
weekends as needed based on production demand Ability to stand, bend,
and move throughout an entire shift (up to 810 hours/day) High school
