Job Description
Under the general supervision of the Facilities Supervisor, the HVAC Technician is responsible for performing skilled work in the installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems across the assigned campus facilities. This includes responding to service calls, troubleshooting mechanical issues, executing repairs, conducting preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental regulations. The technician works collaboratively with Facilities Zone Technicians and other campus trades (e.g., Control Shop, Electric Shop, University Maintenance) to resolve HVAC-related issues. EPA guidelines and institutional safety standards must be adhered to at all times.
