Millwright
**Reports To:** Maintenance Supervisor / Plant Manager
**Job Summary:**
The Millwright is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery and mechanical equipment in a safe and efficient manner. This includes assembling, aligning, and adjusting machinery according to specifications and ensuring optimal equipment performance to minimize downtime.

### **Key Responsibilities:**
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and detailed repair drawings related to machines and equipment.
- Install, dismantle, move, and align industrial machinery and mechanical equipment such as conveyors, pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes, and production machines.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment to ensure maximum operating efficiency.
- Inspect and examine machinery and components to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
- Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks, and forklifts to position machinery and parts during installation, setup, and repair.
- Replace defective parts, reassemble equipment, and test for proper performance.
- Fabricate and modify parts as needed, using machine tools and welding equipment.
- Collaborate with other maintenance and production team members to resolve equipment issues promptly.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and practices, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time spent on each job.

### **Qualifications:**
- Proficient with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Skilled in the safe use of hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and rigging equipment.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy equipment, work at heights, and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or on-call shifts as required.

- Work may be performed in indoor or outdoor industrial environments, sometimes in confined spaces or at heights.
