Location: On Site Position Type: Full-Time | Permanent About the Role: My client is a trusted name in concrete construction, seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Concrete Estimator to join our team. This is a great opportunity for recent graduates or individuals with some construction background looking to launch a career in construction cost estimation and project management. You'll receive hands-on training and mentorship from senior estimators while assisting with the preparation of accurate bids and the coordination of project activities. We are especially interested in candidates who bring a foundation in commercial, industrial, and residential concrete work-including flatwork, foundations, footings, walls, block, repairs, and demo. While expertise in all areas is not required, having experience in any of these is a plus. Experience with On-Screen takeoff estimating software is preferred but not required. Note: This position may require occasional travel to project sites and participation in on-site meetings with builders and project stakeholders . Key Responsibilities: Review blueprints, specifications, and project documents. Prepare comprehensive and well-structured bid proposals for concrete flatwork, foundations, and block work, clearly outlining the scope of work, including exclusions and items outside the scope. Participate in meetings with clients, subcontractors, and project team members to define project scope. Use construction estimating software to input and manage project data. Use established price guidelines to develop estimates Learn how to evaluate project risks and assist in developing contingency strategies. Maintain organized records of estimates, changes, and documentation. Review job site related invoices compared to estimates to ensure accuracy and appropriate job costing. Build successful relationships with builders and vendors. Qualifications & Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required, coursework or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred. Basic understanding of construction processes, materials, and terminology (concrete experience is a plus). Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Strong math and analytical skills with attention to detail. Good communication and teamwork skills. Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced construction environment. Pre-Employment Requirements: Must pass a Criminal Background Check . Must pass a 10-Panel Drug Screen .
