Design Engineer II

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Michels Construction, Inc. seeks Design Engineer II to

provide engineering design services and project support for complex,

significant infrastructure projects. Develop engineering design details

and identify solutions to design challenges for mid-sized or large

infrastructure projects, applying in-depth knowledge of civil

engineering principles, engineering design techniques, and experience

with infrastructure construction projects. Prepare drawings and visual

aids according to design standards, and collaborate with engineering

team regarding evaluation and revision. Edit design specifications for

heavy civil engineering projects. Perform engineering computations and

analysis based on project and proposal specifications. Determine

schedule and budget requirements for infrastructure construction

projects. Prepare project documents, including estimates, take-offs, and

quotes. Coordinate and review work of entry-level engineers to ensure

all engineering design activities are executed properly. Maintain and

promote a strong safety culture for all employees, vendors, and

customers and follow all safety and environmental policies, procedures

and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct

or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions. Work with

a variety of tools and technologies including AutoCAD, Microstation,

STAAD, DeepEx, and Mathcad. Requirements: Bachelor\'s degree in civil

engineering, construction management, or related field plus 5 years

progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as design engineer within

construction industry, working on infrastructure projects.

Alternatively, will accept Master\'s degree in civil engineering,

construction management, or related field plus 3 years experience as

design engineer within construction industry, working on infrastructure

projects. Job is based out of company\'s Brownsville, WI headquarters.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor\'s degree in civil engineering,
