American Display and Fixture (ADF) is seeking TIG Welders for the night shift. Previous applicable experience is highly preferred as an onsite welding test is part of the interview process. The TIG Welder is responsible for precision welding of aluminum, stainless steel, and other materials to create display and fixture components according to design and quality specifications. This role requires fine motor skills, attention to detail, and the ability to produce clean, high-quality welds with minimal supervision

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layout and procedures.
  • Set up TIG welding equipment and materials according to specifications.
  • Select appropriate filler rods and gas mixtures based on materials being welded.
  • Perform precise welding operations on aluminum, stainless steel, and other materials.
  • Inspect welds for accuracy and quality using measuring tools and visual assessments.
  • Clean and maintain welding tools and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards and practices.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and report any issues to the supervisor.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor or management- contributing to team goals and production efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a TIG Welder in a production or fabrication environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and welding blueprints.
  • Expertise in TIG welding aluminum, stainless steel, and other thin-gauge metals.
  • Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Good understanding of safety standards and welding best practices.
  • Ability to work independently or within a team.
  • Willingness to work overtime or weekends when required.

Supervision Received:

Works with minimal supervision. Issues and concerns need to be communicated to supervisor.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Completion of a TIG welding certification or equivalent training program preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of TIG welding experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lifting: Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Push/Pull: Ability to push or pull metal materials and equipment weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Reaching: Frequent reaching overhead and at shoulder height.
  • Stooping: Regular stooping and bending to weld at various angles.
  • Standing: Standing for long periods (up to 10 hours per day).
  • Walking: Frequent walking throughout the production floor.
  • Manual dexterity as needed to operate a variety of machinery and or equipment.
  • Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with temperature variations.

Position is located at American Display & Fixture - 3600 N. Hawthorne St. - Chattanooga

Night Shift 3:30 p.m. - 2:00 a.m. Monday - Friday
