Provide support to maintenance, engineering and construction of the plant's facilities in a safe, efficient and economical manner. Job Description Residency Requirements: Successful candidate will reside within 1 hour normal drive time from Flint Creek Power Plant in Gentry, AR. What You'll Do: Direct improvements in operations, thermal performance and equivalent availability. Schedule and direct equipment inspections and the checking of protective devices to assure safe and continuous operation of the generating units. Request special inspections and analyses of equipment, operating and maintenance problems and seek improvements or corrective actions. Define required work scopes with all involved parties for major repairs to turbines, boilers and associated equipment including equipment inspections and other necessary preventive maintenance. Verify that work is properly coordinated and information exchanged with other concerned parties who are associated with the plant such as the regional organization and power generation group. Recommend and direct improvements to equipment design, operating procedures and maintenance procedures. Develop, maintain and improve operating procedures and instructions for generating and other equipment to assure safe, efficient and reliable operation. Assist in developing long and short range plans for maintenance, capital improvement availability and staffing. Participate in the development of plant O&M and capital forecast, and tracking and controlling expenditures to meet approved budgets. Develop, maintain and enforce safe working conditions by providing proper and adequate tools, equipment, protective clothing and devices. Establish and enforce safety work behaviors. Participate in the setting of safety goals for an accident free work environment. Communicate to employees the importance of a safe work environment on a daily basis. Investigate, report and track incidents/accidents including root cause analysis and corrective action taken. What We're Looking For: Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, or Associate degree in technical field with equivalent applied knowledge (see Experience) OR no degree and 10 years of power plant experience with three years in a supervisory role. Experience: With Bachelor's degree, 6 years' experience in energy production, maintenance or performance with three years in a supervisory capacity with Associate's degree, 8 years of power plant experience with 3 years of supervisory experience.
