Job title: Power System Electrician
Job Summary:
The Power System Electrician will be responsible for Installs and/or repairs of complex electrical control systems, wiring, and lighting systems working from a technical blueprint and electrical and electronic components of Industrial machinery and equipment.
This position requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.
Responsibilities: ( Other duties may be assigned)
- Install and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment.
- Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment and such as robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers.
- Connect power supply wires to machines, equipment, and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment.
- Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.
- Replace faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches, and motors, and position sensing devices.
- Diagnose and repair or replace faulty electrical components, such as printed circuit boards
- Replace electric motor bearings and rewires motors.
- Plan layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.
- Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
- Perform all duties in conformance with company safety policies and procedures.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
- Two (2)-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- All state or federal requirements; or any license or certification that may be required by the contract in which the employee is working.
- Must possess a valid state drivers license and insurable driving record.
- Must possess or obtain a NACI (National Agency Check with Inquiries)
