? Final Line Mechanic II Job Overview
Location: Savannah, GA 31408
Pay Rate: $28.75/hour
Shift: First shift
Key Duties:
Install, assemble, adjust, and fit aircraft structures, parts, system components, and hardware.
Rig control cables, linkages, landing gear, engines, doors, and more.
Remove, replace, cut, and fit system lines and perform repairs.
Use specialized tools (permaswage pumps, dies, hydraulic mule pumps, jigs, etc.).
Troubleshoot basic mechanical and structural issues.
Check and verify own work and may check junior mechanics work.
Maintain detailed logs, records, and compliance paperwork.
Ensure high quality workmanship, meet specifications, and follow all safety and cleanliness standards.
Must-Haves:
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum 3 years of aerospace/aviation or equivalent mechanical experience (auto mechanics, heavy equipment, etc.).
A&P license preferred.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams.
Skilled in close tolerance work, drilling, reaming, ship fitting parts.
Experience using Microsoft 365 tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in tight spaces, and climb ladders/stairs.
Familiarity with Solumina and Smarteam is a plus.
