ABOUT THE POSITION : The Bosch Bagger Operator is responsible for smooth operation of the Bosch bagger machine. The operator must load the ordered materials into the lift which loads the large hopper and set the equipment to run the required numbers of bags in the sizes needed. Finished bags must be inspected from time to time to assure quality. If the bagger stops, the reason must be determined and fixed. Coordinate crew to keep a good supply of boxes ready for the finished bags, close finished boxes, tape them and send them to the shipping department.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Insures smooth operation of the Bosch bagger
  • Must have the ability to troubleshoot problems with the bagger when issues arise
  • Inspect bags coming off the bagger to ensure proper quality
  • Maintain a clean working area around the Bosch bagger
  • Must be able to fill out proper production paperwork of daily output.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS :

  • Previous production experience a plus
  • Effective written and communication skills
  • Forklift experience a plus
  • Ability to learn about and understand the basic parts of the machinery
  • Ability to handle basic math accurately and to use common sense to solve problems
  • Ability to distinguish different colors

SKILLS/PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to work alone as well as with others (Team player)
  • Ability to handle basic math and use common sense to solve problems
  • Flexibility and willingness to be cross trained
  • Responsible for completing accurate paperwork daily and helping keep a neat, organized work area
  • Have basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to change, demonstrates learning agility with desire to grow and develop
  • Team player with a growth, development and challenge accepted mindset

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS :

  • High school diploma or GED preferred

  • Must be ablet to stand and walk on cement floors 10-12 hours
  • Repetitive motions such as bending, lifting, and turning
  • Required to lift, retrieve or reposition products on the manufacturing floor weighing up to 60lbs
  • Must be able to safely navigate to facility, OSHA compliant. Normally this person is standing and walking around the facility interacting with team members. Appropriate OSHA approved safety shoes required.
  • Must be able to tolerate noise and at times forklift traffic through the day.

WORK ENVIRONMENT (SEE NEXT PAGE FOR EXAMPLES):

  • Works in a manufacturing environment. The noise in the facility is usually moderate.
  • Hearing protection is required in certain areas of the facility and supplied.
